Killed by a Conker !

Killed by a Conker asks the viewer to succumb to the idea that conkers have their own energy. It’s a whimsical journey that finalises in a mini fashion collection. If you ate too many conkers you’d die… so I didn’t eat the conker I made a Fashion Collection instead !

A woman with long dark hair and bright makeup stands against a plain wall, wearing a shiny green dress with a russet jumpsuit underneath, both layered with an orange tulle dress. Beside her, there is an abstract, colourful sculpture of a tree.
A young woman with dark brown hair wearing a sleeveless orange top made of triangle shapes, gold earrings, and yellow ribbed leggings, stands indoors against a plain wall, with colorful artwork tree on display to her left.
A woman with long brown hair dressed in a beige ruffle skirt, top and one sleeved jacket, wearing brown high heels, stands next to an abstract, colorful sculpture made of various torn and painted paper pieces assembled into a tree form.

If you ate too many conkers you'd die...

HumanKind have probably tried.

Instead we use them for games and decoration,

to use them in this project was a temptation.

But forget this human need,

forget this human greed.

Let the conker be.

A clash of green and red,

lying on the woodland bed.

The softest matt,

waxy armour holding back.

A Spiky warning,

seedlings spawning.

A promise of life,

denied and we'd all pay the price.

See beyond what you've been told you must,

a fisted hug, circle husk.

All conkers are energy,

same as you, same as me,

energy can't be put into your food chain hierarchy.

Look at the world this way,

and see this truth today.

If you ate too many conkers you'd die,

so I didn't eat the conker, I made a Fashion collection instead.
